Diabetes teams scoop award

The young person’s diabetes team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and Evelina London’s paediatric diabetes team have been recognised for their Young Person's and Transition Clinic.

The clinic provides support to 14 to 23 year olds living with Type 1 diabetes through one-to-one sessions, evening appointments, group workshops and a three-day Youth Empowerment Skills programme.

The teams were awarded a certificate for Best Transition/Young Person’s Programme by the National Diabetes Transition Audit Quality Improvement Collaborative.
