We are committed to providing our patients with the best care possible, so we are delighted that patients have rated the overall care at Guy’s and St Thomas’ as 'very good'.

We are really grateful to our patients for taking the time to complete the national NHS inpatient survey, and to our staff whose hard work has led to a continued improvement in our performance.

At the end of this month I will be taking up a new national role as Chief Operating Officer for NHS England/Improvement. I’m very sorry to be leaving Guy’s and St Thomas’, but I will take our values with me, and I know the fabulous team at the Trust will continue to thrive under the leadership of Ian Abbs, our current Chief Medical Officer.

In this month’s e-GiST, find out about a wonderful fashion show that took place as part of Cancer Survivors’ Day, read about Tom Hanks’ visit to Evelina London Children’s Hospital, and find out how we celebrated the Windrush legacy with a special event.
