An episode of BBC One’s Health: Truth or Scare highlighted the immunotherapy treatment offered to allergy patients at Guy’s and St Thomas’.


The report featured hay fever sufferer Amanda Smith who says immunotherapy at Guy’s Hospital changed her life. She was filmed during her appointment with Professor Chris Corrigan, consultant in allergy and asthma at Guy’s and St Thomas’.


Dr Adam Fox, consultant and joint clinical lead of allergy at Evelina London Children’s Hospital, explained how immunotherapy works. He also discussed the reasons why the number of allergy sufferers in the UK is increasing.
