Online summer school success

The first ever online King’s Health Partners Summer School invited 44 students to learn more about a career in biomedical research.

In previous years, the Summer School has opened its doors to school students across Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham for five days during the summer holidays. Due to the pandemic and social distancing restrictions, this year’s event was redesigned to provide students with the same great educational experience, online.

The team at the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) worked closely with partners to deliver the summer school content via the Discover Healthcare YouTube channel.
