Supporting our staff

COVID-19 has had a huge impact on the way staff are able to care for patients. New, stricter processes for routine procedures, such as intubation, have been introduced to avoid the risk of infection and transmission.

To help staff adapt to these new processes, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity has supported the Simulation and Interactive Learning Centre to buy a state-of-the-art patient simulator.

With the Charity's support, training was also adapted so that it could be delivered virtually. New recording equipment has allowed the Centre to create e-learning resources and live-stream teaching sessions.
