Cancer patient lands record deal

BBC London reported that jazz musician Rex Martey has signed a record deal at the age of 82.

Rex suffers from prostate cancer and needs dialysis three times a week. One of the songs on his album is dedicated to Louisa Fleure, lead urology clinical nurse specialist at Guy’s Hospital, who has treated him for the last few years.

Rex has pledged a quarter of all sales will go to Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity.
